About Jeevan Balani
Jeevan is an interview and career coach who has helped hundreds of professionals prepare for and land roles at companies across industries — from startups to Fortune 500 organizations, from entry-level positions to C-suite interviews.
His approach to coaching draws on experience from both sides of the interview table. Jeevan’s background includes management consulting at McKinsey & Company and Accenture, where he developed the structured problem-solving and communication frameworks that now form the foundation of his coaching methodology. He has also served as a fractional growth leader for companies including MasterClass, Outschool, and other high-growth startups — building and leading teams across marketing, product, and operations.
That combination — having interviewed hundreds of candidates as a hiring leader and having coached hundreds more through their own interview preparation — gives his work a perspective that purely theoretical advice cannot replicate.
Background
- McKinsey & Company / Accenture — Management Consultant. Conducted case and behavioral interviews. Developed structured problem-solving frameworks used in client engagements.
- MasterClass, Outschool & other startups — Fractional Growth Leader. Built and led cross-functional teams across marketing, product, and operations. Drove growth strategy and go-to-market execution.
- AccelaCoach — Founder. Coaches professionals at every career stage — from recent graduates to senior executives — across industries including technology, finance, consulting, healthcare, and consumer products.
Coaching Approach
The frameworks shared on this site are not theoretical. They are drawn from real coaching sessions — refined across hundreds of conversations with real professionals preparing for real interviews. Every article on AccelaCoach reflects patterns observed in coaching: the questions candidates struggle with, the mistakes that cost offers, and the specific techniques that change outcomes.
Jeevan’s coaching philosophy centers on a few core principles:
- Interview preparation is like exercising a muscle, not cramming for a test. The goal is internalization, not memorization. Candidates who understand the frameworks deeply can adapt to any question — not just the ones they rehearsed.
- Every interview question is an opportunity, not an obstacle. The candidates who perform well are the ones who see each question as a chance to share something meaningful, not a hurdle to survive.
- Authenticity is a competitive advantage. Interviewers can identify a rehearsed, inauthentic answer. The strongest candidates bring genuine self-awareness and real stories — and that is what makes them memorable.
What You Will Find on This Site
AccelaCoach publishes in-depth guides on interview preparation, covering:
- Behavioral interview questions — leadership, teamwork, conflict, accomplishment, and failure
- Common interview questions — “Tell me about yourself,” “What are your strengths and weaknesses,” “Why do you want to work here,” and more
- Company-specific preparation — McKinsey, consulting firms, and other high-stakes interview environments
- Career situation guides — interviewing after a layoff, explaining career changes, navigating non-linear career paths
- Interview strategy — the 5-Story Method, how to research a company, questions to ask your interviewer
Every article is written with the same standard: it should be specific enough to change how you prepare, grounded enough in real coaching to feel actionable, and direct enough to tell you what other guides leave out.
